As more growth and development further extends the northern populated boundaries of Edinburg, we find it more important than ever to capture this rich farming history before cement and macadam replace freshly disked fields and the enveloping aroma of citrus trees and fresh vegetables. This edition focuses on the Kieffer and Metz families who found their way to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and participated in farming and agriculture in the region.
