The HMS Renown was completed after back-and-forth construction plans, in 1916, and upon completion she and her sister ship, the HMS Repulse, were the world's fastest capital ships of the time. Though Renown did not participate in WWI she received two revisions before WWII, which she entered as a part of the search for the Admiral Graf Spee in 1939. After several missions and refits, she was refitted a final time in 1945 as this model kit represents. Placed in reserve after the war, it was only 3 years before she was sold for scrap.

Completed model measures 346mm long and 44.6mm wide.
