Build Your Own Low-Budget Solar Power SystemThis book is designed to address the concerns of those whose only desire is to build a simple, small scale solar energy system but don't know where to start (or end!). We've been living off the grid for well over ten years now and the most common inquiry we get is from people who want to set up a small solar energy system to power a cabin or camper, or to keep a refrigerator and a few lights on if the grid goes down. This book is designed to address the concerns of those whose only desire is to build a simple, small-scale solar energy system but don't know where to start (or end!). We've been living off the grid for well over ten years now and the most common inquiry we get is from people who want to set up a small solar energy system to power a cabin or camper, or to keep a refrigerator and a few lights on if the grid goes down. Some have already tried and ended up with woefully inadequate systems lacking the power and balance needed for off-grid life. But there's more to off-grid living than watts, volts and amps. It's important to understand how a solar power system works and how to size it properly for the job you want it to do. In this book I've condensed all the information you need to design your own simple, off-grid, solar power system. I'm not going to teach how to build your own solar panels but I'll tell you how purchase factory components to build the system that fits your needs the best and hopefully save you a lot of frustration and cash while putting it together. We'll see how to understand watts, volts, amps, and ohms and how they apply to deciding how many solar panels you need, the watt ratings you'll have to have for your inverter and charge controller and even how many batteries you'll need for your battery bank. You'll learn about resistance, and how it affects your solar power system. I will explain with diagrams and text the differences between sine wave, modified sine wave and pure sine wave inverters and how that applies to you. I'll explain charge controllers and the reasons for and against PWM vs. MPPT vs. single-stage vs. multiple-stage controllers and which is best for you. I'll tell you a little secret about "efficient" vs. "less efficient" solar panels that will keep you from wasting money on something that's a relatively minor issue. Even if you don't want a "whole house" system you'll learn how to put together balanced small-scale power systems at whatever size you can afford. We'll also look at solar power "kits" and I'll show you how to put together your own that outperform commercially available kits and get more power for less money. My goal here is to simplify that which has been made complicated. I want you to be able to pursue your dream of independence from the grid without spending enough money to break the bank. It can be done, and for less than you may imagine!Shipping Notes

Great saddle bag item
Style: Face Stick, Size: 0.45 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I love the size! This small sized product is handy for the outdoorsman. Very convenient to keep in pocket or saddle bag. Product kept my ears, face and back of neck from sun burning. Easy to apply and rub in and was actually not oily feeling like most others.
And an added bonus it help to keep nats and mosquitoes away from face, ears and neck!

Love the stick! I’m not a baby.
Style: Face Stick, Size: 0.45 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I don’t have babies anymore just teens, but I keep one of these in the car for back of my hands. It doesn’t either freeze nor get hot melty and gloopy and separated like a cream. Withstands both extreme summer and below freezing winter temps. Also you easily swipe it on in 2 seconds, avoiding getting palms slimy to facilitate driving.
However I drive less than I spend time on my screened in porch. I’m not in direct sun, only shade, but by now we know that it’s uva light even hitting you on cloudy rain through windows that is aging and causing cancer. So I’m getting TONS of uv light. Every time I go out there, I swipe it on the back of my hands, since spf wears off quickly there from dishes hand washing etc. Since I’ve been doing this, age spots have faded off my hands. Hands age very fast. It doesn’t clutter and look sloppy on porch, and again, doesn’t freeze or melt! And a whopping 19.2% zinc is CRAZY!! I could of course see this being perfect for babies faces since it wouldn’t run into the eyes and it’s gentle as heck on skin. It is like totally thick and white though, if that matters to you or your baby.
I also keep the adult sun bum stick (not mineral) in my purse. Takes up no room. It is less white/more cosmetically elegant than baby mineral one, and I touch up my face with it. I reapply sunscreen every 2 hours (don’t wear makeup). These things are perfect!!!! They last forever too.

Small small size but nice to carry around in purse or beach bag.
Style: Face Stick, Size: 0.45 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This sunblock works really well. I like that it is only mineral based and it glides on easily . Due to its compact size I can carry this in my makeup bag. I placed sunblock every 2 hours on my face while I was in the swimming pool and I never got a sunburn. Pricey but easy to apply and compact size .

Great for the face
Style: Face Stick, Size: 0.45 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Works well, nice ingredients and easy on our babies skin. They do leave a white tint though that can take awhile to fully rub in

Small size, great product
Style: Face Stick, Size: 0.45 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Great product, just wish I had read the description better because this stick is TINY. On the flip side, its easy to carry around and doesn't gulf my baby's face.
