He has a remarkable recall of the many soldiers and officers he knew, helped perhaps by his being a Regimental Clerk throughout his time in the Army. His descriptions of some of his colleagues will bring back many happy recollections to those who read this book and he certainly jolted my memory on many of the people we served with together.
KeithÕs book is an excellent historical record of life in The Life Guards from the fifties onwards both for the Regiment and for his family and I strongly recommend it.
