Use if the existing bolt gets cross threaded or stripped. Use our XTR CAP DRIVER to remove the self extracting cap to allow for replacement. Remove crank arm bolt cap from crank. Remove damaged crank fixing bolt, being sure not to lose the thin cone washer. Insert the new crank fixing bolt and reinstall the crank arm bolt cap. When installing

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.
