The game setup involves a 5x5 grid of word cards, with nine green squares representing your agents and one black square marking the deadly assassin.
The key feature of Codegames Duet is the shared responsibility for uncovering the agents. Each player sees a 5x5 grid on a key card, but with a unique perspective, creating a blend of strategy and collaboration. The goal is to reveal all fifteen agents without revealing the assassin or too many bystanders. The dynamic of the game is kept fresh and exciting with different assassin placements on each side of the key card. The challenge intensifies as players must balance giving effective clues and taking calculated risks while maintaining communication.
To play, one player gives a one-word clue along with a number, indicating how many agents are related to that clue. The other player guesses which agents match the clue, with each correct guess advancing them further toward victory. The game ends when all agents are identified or when an assassin or too many bystanders are revealed.
