The history of modern Israel is a story of ambition, violence, and survival. Return to Zion traces how a scattered and stateless people reconstituted themselves in their traditional homeland, only to face threats by those who, during the many years of the dispersion, had come to regard the land as their home. This is a story of the "ingathering of the exiles" from Europe to an outpost on the fringes of the Ottoman Empire, of courage and perseverance, and of reinvention and tragedy.
Eric Gartman focuses on two main themes of modern Israel: reconstitution and survival. Even as new settlers built their state they faced constant challenges from hostile neighbors and divided support from foreign governments, as well as being attacked by larger armies no fewer than three times during the first twenty-five years of Israel's history. Focusing on a land torn by turmoil, Return to Zion is the story of Israel--the fight for independence through the Israeli Independence War in 1948, the Six-Day War of 1967, and the near-collapse of the Israeli Army during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
Gartman examines the roles of the leading figures of modern Israel--Theodor Herzl, Chaim Weizmann, David Ben-Gurion, Golda Meir, Moshe Dayan, Yitzchak Rabin, and Ariel Sharon--alongside popular perceptions of events as they unfolded in the post-World War II decades. He presents declassified CIA, White House, and U.S. State Department documents that detail America's involvement in the 1967 and 1973 wars, as well as proof that the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty was a case of mistaken identity. Return to Zion pulls together the myriad threads of this history from inside and out to create a seamless look into modern Israel's truest self.

Decent at dampening sound
Color: Grey, Color: Grey
This partition was easy to assemble and is stable. My husband and I both work from home, and the desire was to have a sound barrier. It definitely dampens the noise. If it was another foot taller, that would be even better at dampening the noise. Obviously, we still hear one another quite well, but the partition simply softens the noise of each other.

Easy Install, Great Quality, Mobile Partition
Color: Grey
This is the easiest install I've ever had in my life, took about 5 minutes. These panels come pre-assembled, minus the wheels, which screw into the base pieces in pairs. The material is a very pleasant "corporate grey" - I only worry about its color fastness over time. I needed a practical solution for my garage, which has glass garage doors that let in a ton of sun/heat and even with privacy film still parade around my tools and belongings visibly to anyone walking by. These partitions are functional for both of my needs, and if I have a visitor needing to park in my second spot it takes 5 seconds to wheel these out of the way.

Nice, convenient partition that absorbs sound
Color: Grey, Color: Grey
What stood out * Instant partition: This 3-panel foldable office partition helps to create quiet zones in a shared room, and it genuinely helped carve out a more focused space without a major renovation. The panels feel substantial yet easy to move thanks to the wheels, so I can roll them into position when I need privacy or a professional background for video meetings. I can fold them flat against a wall when I don’t nee them. The aluminum frame gives it enough rigidity to stay upright, and the gray finish is neutral. The height and width are generous for desktop setups, meetings, or study areas, and because it’s modular you can arrange it in L-shapes, straight lines, or even semi-circles. The mobility makes it flexible for dynamic spaces — roll it out for working hours, tuck it away after. * Sound insulation: It's heavy, which is better for sound isolation. The sound-dampening design isn’t miracle acoustic treatment, but it noticeably softens background chatter and echoes — enough to make video calls and focused work feel less disrupted. * Assembly is super easy, but I would recommend to have two people to make it easier. What to keep in mind * It’s not sound-proof like a built-in wall, so loud noises still carry; it’s best for softening ambient sounds, not blocking them completely. * The gray color is neutral, but if your room palette is bold you might want to accent with décor so it doesn’t look utilitarian. You can also tack posters and light pictures to the the gray frames. * It's pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

Decent dividers
Color: Grey
I think you will love these under the right circumstances. Number one the sound absorption is hard to describe because since the panels don't go to the roof sound can easily travel to the other so you and without being hindering but they do absorb sound to a certain extent. They also provide pretty good coverage for privacy in an office or dorm situation with ease. I wouldn't say it's easy to store but it does fold up pretty well and overall for the price it's an effective means of letting those around you know you need some peace. For the price it's a pretty good divider. It requires very little assembly and is relatively sturdy so all in all not a bad option. Until We Meet Again -Off The Grid Ken
