ACB 3645 5062 SS - 1.8 inch 440C stainless steel Angular Contact Headset Bearing (50mm 62mm x 8mm: 36 x 45 deg)

Angular-contact headset bearing featuring 440C stainless steel balls and races for superior corrosion protection.

This oversized size bearing is also known as TH MR229, and has been specified on the Giant Reign e+ series bikes.

Not all stainless steel is created equal.
Enduro only uses 440C stainless steel balls and races to provide long life and superior corrosion resistance in applications and environments that may be less than ideal. 440C has the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance of all the standard 440-series stainless alloys with high carbon content. As expected, it is also the most expensive of the 440 series alloys and requires special heat treatment and cryogenic treatment to achieve its superior mechanical properties. Though it is slightly softer than our standard 52100 chromium steel used in most of our bearings, stainless steel is an excellent alternative for use in wet conditions or where sweat and spilled sports drinks can be a problem. Enduro Bearings also uses LLB-type seals and Almagard 3752 grease in these bearings to additionally waterproof against the elements. Enduro 440C stainless headset bearings are the same bearings found in many popular headset brands with a lifetime warranty.

The Enduro line of angular-contact headset bearings starts with Black Oxide treated Chromium Steel races and then steps up to full 440C stainless steel. They are always engineered with the largest balls possible, feature dual-lip seals riding in a micro-groove (labyrinth), and are filled 90% with high-pressure waterproof grease for the ultimate protection against sweat and the elements. Enduro Angular Contact (A/C) bearings are designed so all balls are evenly engaged to spread the force over a larger surface area, minimizing wear and maximizing life.

Asurion stands behind their policy
I am very proud to know that Asurion stands behind their policy; if an item doesn't function, it should. The process was user-friendly and quick. Thank you, Asurion.

Asurion gets 5 stars
Asurion tried to repair our printer. And when it was beyond repair they within 24 hours remitted an Amazon gift card enabling us to purchase a new printer we received in 2 days. I highly recommend Asurion.

Affordable protection plan and superb customer care
I usually don’t buy extended warranty, but I took a chance and added a 4-year Asurion Protection Plan to my purchase of a Canon PIXMA printer. So glad I did!! After only a year and a half, my printer showed an error message 6800. Cannon website states “Support code 6800 generally indicates a failure with the logic board on your printer. Service will be required.” How convenient for that to happen shortly out of Canon’s regular 1-year warranty (🙄). I called Canon. Long story short…they couldn’t do anything for me unless I purchase a warranty plan from them and they send me a replacement or I would need to pay for a repair. No thanks. I called Asurion and talked to a very nice tech support person. She couldn’t get rid of the error message remotely, so she transferred me to another very nice support specialist, who helped me start a repair claim. Asurion mailed me a box with a lot of packing material, along with shipping instructions and label to ship my printer to them for free. A few days into the repair process, they determined my Canon printer was unrepairable and they emailed me an Amazon gift card that same day for the cost of my crappy Canon printer. They were in total communication via email throughout the repair process. I highly recommend Asurion, and I would definitely purchase another protection plan from them again.
