Keep in mind, that colonists first came to America to escape tyrannical rule.  So, when our Founding Fathers sought to establish a new government, they worked to make sure power could not be concentrated by an individual or even a few people in the government.  That's why they started the Constitution of the United States of America with this First Amendment:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

We are living in an age when the general public does not have a voice because we are gagged and bounded by the tyrannical government and its lapdog liberal media.  We've been ignored, silenced, and threatened.  Our Founding Fathers, Minutemen didn't take that very long.  They fought and removed them.  The modern-day Patriot Minutemen would do the same.
