A powerful prayer for angelic protection, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, is woven through this watercolor painting. My intent was to bring to life, in a contemporary way, the images invoked by this well known traditional prayer. The original (18x24) hangs in the home of a newly single mom who needs every kind of protection God can offer - physical, emotional, spiritual... I think that this piece - and prayer - could also bring great comfort to families of deployed servicemen and women. Many families say this prayer as their children leave for school each morning.

The text of the prayer is:
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

8x10 are cut to size with no border, ready to be matted or popped into a standard frame. 11x14 has a white border to increase framing options - it can be easily trimmed to fit a standard 11x14 frame. 

Prints are professionally run on 100 lb, acid free paper using environmentally sensitive inks, and signed and dated by the artist (me).
