Fat Freddy's Drop are set to release their fourth studio album, 'BAYS', on October 30th 2015. Following the worldwide success of 'Blackbird' in 2013, the New Zealand based seven-piece are back with 'BAYS', a 9-track LP recorded at the band's BAYS Studio in Kilbirnie, Wellington a former 1950s HMV vinyl pressing plant. The predominantly studio written album draws on the lexicon of genres that have come to epitomize the bands' sound. Opening with the slow burn funk of 'Wairunga Blues' the album journeys through a hybrid of reggae, jazz with techno rhythms underpinning Freddy's signature horns and Joe Dukie's soulful and introspective vocal, arriving finally on the crooked blues jam of 'Novak'. The album exudes a confidence of a band truly comfortable in their skin. "It's been a more creative process writing this album in the studio rather than recording songs which have been well road tested", Freddy's vocalist Joe Dukie said. Internationally, Fat Freddy's Drop reputation continues to soar. Blackbird has sold over 200,000 album copies worldwide with the UK, US and Germany becoming the bands strongest markets. This success is reflected by recent live highlights including sold out gigs at London's 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace and 3x Sydney Opera House shows. The BAYS album tour will start in October in Australia and roll out worldwide into 2016.

It definitely is fiber
Flavor Name: Original Coarse Sugar, Size: 1.86 Pound (Pack of 1)
It is nice to take a break from the orange flavoring they have with the original one, and the sugar does help it go down easier, but please for your sanity DO NOT DRINK THIS WITH JUST PLAIN WATER. I like to mix it up in flavored water with those sugar free drops that let me control what flavor the water is without suffering from raw dogging the unflavored powder because that will taste like drinking a glass of sand. Next time I'll try out the clear blend without any sugar to see if there's a difference, but this bottle will last a while. Also be gradual with introducing it into your diet and work up to a few teaspoons throughout your day to not overload your body.
All that aside, it works well and my body feels more comfortable with the extra fiber in my life. I highly recommend some form of this because it's really tough to get enough fiber in many diets.

Unflavored but sweetened Metamucil

If the orange flavored Metamucil is too acidic for you but you want a sweetened unflavored variation, this is just right. It is sometimes hard to find and is often sold out at the drug store or grocery store. I was glad to find it on Amazon.

Unflavored original texture with sugar is the best!
Flavor Name: Original Coarse Sugar, Size: 1.86 Pound (Pack of 1)
I don't why the fake orange flavor is so popular. Unflavored is neutral and agreeable. Even with the sugar this product is very low glycemic index because the tiny amount of sugar is offset by the fiber.
