Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Crazy World is the eleventh studio album by German hard rock band Scorpions, originally released in November 1990. The album peaked at #21 on the Billboard 200 chart for albums in 1991. That same year, the song "Wind of Change" reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and "Send Me an Angel" reached #44 on the same chart. Crazy World was the last album to feature bassist Francis Buchholz, and by that extent, the last to feature the band's classic lineup. This album was the band's first album in a decade and a half to not be produced by Dieter Dierks and is widely considered to be the last "classic" Scorpions album.

What a wonderful mystery, a grand heroine who is polishing her detective skills.
All the pomp of the gentile classes at their play. Murders, theft, and dogs in the highlands, what could be better?

Promising start to new mystery series.
Format: Kindle
Lady Persephone "Poppy" Proudfoot attends a house party at an estate, meets some American actors, and tries to solve the murder of a stranger to the village whose body is discovered by the lake. The first in a series, this book is a quick read with a plot that moves along, although some of the large cast of characters seem superfluous (e.g., the American visitors). Poppy is a widow, a law-school graduate (in the 1920s!), and ran a hospital for wounded soldiers during WW1, so an interesting character to read about. A promising beginning to the series and I look forward to the next book. Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the eARC.
