Picture this beautiful white bistro table and four Gruvyer chairs setting on your patio waiting for your friends to arrive and chat at this patio conversation set.  The rich and subtle blue shade contrasts the white table perfectly.  

This Zavor table is lightweight for easy moving, but you can fill the center post of the table with sand for ballast.  Although not shown on this picture, the table top can tilt to the side to give you more space when the table is not in use. 

No need to shop around, we can ship this complete set to your home.  Get the everything in two boxes.  The chairs are one piece and can easily hold up to 240 lbs.  The table does require some assembly, but instructions are included.  Most novices can put this together in less than 1/2 hour.

Everything is manufactured in Italy by iGap, one of Italy's largest furniture makers.  These plastic chairs are made from a special composite used only by iGap.  The polypropylene is primarily  composed of post consumer recycled materials that are tested and approved for purity with strict European standards.

Interesting book, dull period

As a Marxist historian, Hobsbawm sees the world at this time, as well as the modern world, as a playground for the forces of capitalism. He apologizes for taking a eurocentric approach to world history, while acknowledging that Europe largely determined the course of world events during this period. In spite of the title, there actually isn't much discussion of colonial empires; Hobsbawm seems more interested in how the Age of Empire affected the rulers more than the ruled. His Marxist sympathies are in evidence and at times make his conclusions a bit predictable, but some of his cultural critiques are quite brilliant. The chapter on the dilemmas posed by modern science is exceptional. Reading a book like this seems to me much more interesting than actually living in this period would have been.
