This replacement remote control is designed for Pioneer Plasma Display System TVs including PDP-433HDE, PDP-503HDE, PDP-428XD, PDP-506XDE and PDP-LX5080D. It is an ideal solution for replacing lost or damaged remotes and works straight out of the box with no complicated setup.
In addition to TV compatibility, Pioneer used a shared IR code set across many of their DVD players. This means the remote can also function with models such as the Pioneer DV-420V-K DVD player. The original remote for that unit is the AXD1545, but several other Pioneer DVD remotes can serve as substitutes.
Compatible / Substitute Models Include:
- AXD1545 (original for DV-420V-K)
- AXD1543
- AXD1547
- AXD1551
Some universal Pioneer DVD remotes pre-programmed for “Pioneer DVD” will also work, although button layouts may differ.
Important Notes:
- Core functions such as power, play, stop, eject, menu and navigation are supported across these compatible models.
- Button layouts may vary slightly; for example, some versions may lack direct access buttons for features like USB playback or progressive scan toggling.
- Aftermarket replacement remotes that list AXD1545 compatibility will generally operate the DV-420V-K without issue.
