A name is everything to a Yu Jing citizen. It does not only represent the individual, but also his parents, his family and even his place of birth. The worst curse that can be uttered by a Yu Jing citizen, and the most insulting to receive, can be translated as “fuck your name”. Consequently, one of the most degrading punishments meted out by Yu Jing civilian and military tribunals is the official denial of a name.

The Wú Míng Assault Corps is a penal military regiment. All its members are denied a name, and instead are given a serial number. The regiment is formed from the most dangerous and violent elements of the regular Yu Jing forces, often referred to as “pigs for the slaughter”. All Wú Míng live on probation and are forced to wear a subdermal tracking implant on their faces. The circuitry forms the characters for Wú Míng, acting as a clearly recognizable mark of shame. The punishment received—denial of a name, social scorn, being enlisted into the army and sent to the frontlines—can be commuted after a set period of service, assuming they survive. As a heavy infantry assault unit, they specialize in urban environments, close combat, offensive deployment, and cleanup operations. The ID number on their combat suits is always visible despite their camo patterns, making their status quite obvious. Most Wú Míng hold a great deal of resentment against the system, and perceive their service in the Assault Corps as an act of humiliation. This hatred and resentment seeps into their fighting style, along with the fact that the Regiment is the only thing standing between them and a summary execution.

Informational but not what I expected.
Format: Paperback
The facts as they relate to the bible and some other scripts are good, but it would have been better if they were backed up with scientific facts and Egyptian findings. This would have given a broader and more open-minded big picture. I was disappointed overall.

My brain needed this book.

What a refreshing cup of water to a thirsty mind! I'm so glad I stumbled across this book and this author, Brian Godawa. I was beginning to think I was the only person on earth who had questions about traditional Christianity versus ancient cultures as well as other mysteries on our earth, and this book has made some links and clarifications on some fascinating subjects that aren't dealt with much in the modern church. It didn't matter that this book is a compilation of appendices based on his research for one of his fiction series. It read, easily, as a non-fiction book and I appreciated how the author used facts based off of biblical and other ancient documents in a rather logical way, with limited conjecture and emotion. I tried absorbing the information in this book as quickly as possible, and already have admired and desired the author's other utterly fascinating book offers. Thank you, Mr. Godawa, for your seeming unrelentless pursuit of truth! I stand with you.

Great kit! Must have for married couples.
Love this kit! I just started session 1 and it already has help my marriage for the better! Thank God this material is very helpful in understanding my wife and she understanding me better. I highly recommended! many things you might know other things you might think it will not apply to me but you will find new ideas that will definetely help you. I never like writting and I am finding my self spending valuable time with my wife doing the exercises, having fun and understanding each other more. I believe is worth the investment. I found it here in amazon cheaper than in other places. GOD bless every marriage!

Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts - A Useful and Effective Resource for Pre-Marriage Counseling
I used this curriculum kit and video series in pre-marriage counseling. I found it helped me to have an effective structure and a useful tool to use as a major part of my counseling, and believe it helped stimulate thought and discussion of help to the couple as they made this investment in the success of their upcoming marriage.
