Piping Rock Club is a country club in Matinecock, New York. It falls within the ZIP Code boundaries of Locust Valley, New York.
The Piping Rock clubhouse was designed by American designer Guy Lowell and built in 1911. Lowell based his designs on American colonial architecture and a desire to link the house with the landscape. Most of the rooms open into a hall that surrounds an internal courtyard.
The Piping Rock Club has an 18-hole links-style golf course that was designed by Charles B. Macdonald. Its tennis facilities include several indoor courts, clay courts and grass courts. A separate facility on Long Island Sound provides beach, pool and summer dining facilities for members.
The club hosted the Piping Rock Horse Show from at least 1912 to 1915. On October 24, 1937 Cole Porter was in a riding accident there that crushed his legs, leading to one of them being amputated years later.
It was the "Augusta of its Day" and boasted members like J. P. Morgan Jr., Benjamin Strong Jr., first president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Percy Chubb, co-founder of the insurance company, Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass, Frank Nelson Doubleday, publishing, Condé Montrose Nast, publishing, William L. Harkness, Standard Oil, Frederic B. Pratt, George Dupont Pratt, Harold I. Pratt, Standard Oil heirs and philanthropists, W. Averell Harriman, future New York Governor, Payne Whitney, Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt and Vincent Astor.

High quality, fast reading, easy to use
This is a very nice product. It works as advertised. It appears to be reasonably well made too. I'd give it 5 stars, but I have a few gripes that force me to subtract 1 star:
1) Price. While it appears to be pretty well made and is quite attractive in appearance, it doesn't quite have the feel and heft of a $109 gadget. It is at least twice the price of any other pro-level, instant-read thermometer available on Amazon. Hopefully it will provide years of accurate, durable, reliable use, befitting of its hefty price tag.
2) The screw on the battery compartment cover gave me fits. It took a little more elbow grease than I expected to get it to turn, making me more than a bit concerned that I might strip the screw.
3) The "Careful it's sharp" warning label affixed to the probe itself was practically *glued* on. I had to carefully use a razor blade to get it off, and even then, there was a lot of residual adhesive and bits of the label stuck to the probe--and under my thumbnail too! I had to take out my Goo Gone adhesive remover to clean the probe of the adhesive and leftover bits of label, and also to extract the crap out from under my thumbnail...these are NOT steps I wanted or needed to take to put this thing into service! Jeez!
Anyway, I'll update this review after I get a few months of use out of the Typhur InstaProbe.

Well worth the money
Size: 6.5"
Bad Ass! Finally a meat probe that actually works well and fast, it reads instantly and is so easy to read the screen even in the sun. All the other ones I bought never lasted and this one is tuff as nails and has already out lasted all the other ones combined. This is proof of you get what you pay for! The one thing you gotta watch out for is the probe can read the the heat that rises from the bottom of the grill as you move it towards the meat you wanna check because it reads that quick and that’s not a negative comment, just letting you know! Go get ya one!

Very satisfied with this frother
This is the best frother I have bought so far. It works fast and is easy to use having the control button on the top (where I always thought it should be)! I even appreciate the stand that doesn’t tip over easily.

Excellent item and what we have been looking for! Have bought numerous other frother type gadgets and this is the final one. Wish we researched and got this one first. All quality and perfect for our matcha/hydration waters. Blending power A+ Battery life A+ Ease of use A+ And value is superb considering how many others we have bought.

Works well, variable speed is eacy to use
Quality whisker for the price. Takes 2 AA batteries and has a stand and different mixing tip. I like that it has a pressure sensitive button on the top that has variable speed and easy to control by just easing your thumb off or pushing down the power button. Top speed is almost too much for a regular sized glass but you can easily depress the button to only "half" pressure and keep at medium speed. Sometime I just press it fully down for top a quick speed burst and it stirs most things quickly. Press it down full speed for too long and you'll spill the liquid out. Solid purchase I'm happy with it!
