This Sterling Silver amulet is revered as one of the most popular and powerful auspicious talismans, bringing good fortune and warding off inauspicious feng shui and obstacles. Every detail is meticulously arranged and depicted according to Tibetan Astrology.
The talisman's shape, the great gold tortoise Rubal, is believed to trace back to AD 642 when the Chinese princess Wen Cheng introduced it into Tibet. At the center of the design lies the astrological diagram, inscribed by Manjushri on the tortoise's undershell. Within the inner central circle, Tibetan numerals one to nine form a 'magic square' known as the 'nine mewas.'
The second circle features eight lotus petals, each containing one of the eight possible combinations of trigrams derived from yin (broken) and yang (firm or continuous) lines used in Chinese divination.
The outermost circle of the tortoise shell is divided into twelve lotus-petal segments, each representing one of the twelve animals of the Tibetan/Chinese zodiac.
This Buddhist pendant serves as a Tibetan feng shui talisman and protection amulet, adorned with the eight trigrams (Bagua) and the twelve animal signs of the Tibetan and Chinese zodiac. The back of the pendant displays the Tibetan alphabet A.
