Very comfortable and look great in any setting cafe, bistro, traditional, modern, minimalist or industrial, etc. and any room too. Wonderful colour and patina, with interesting crocodile skin patterned embossed seats. Both stamped underneath 'MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA B THONET', and one has the remains of the paper label on it too. A pair of early 20th-century (probably 1930s) vintage bentwood chairs by renowned maker Thonet.

Very comfortable and look great in any setting - cafe, bistro, traditional, modern, minimalist or industrial, etc. - and any room too.

Wonderful colour and patina, with interesting crocodile skin-patterned embossed seats.

Both stamped underneath 'MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA B THONET', and one has the remains of the paper label on it too.

Condition:

Good overall condition, showing wear from use - please see all photos.

Both seats are well-used so the embossed pattern on both seats is worn.

The chair on the left is the better of the two condition-wise. It just has the usual small split in the stretcher between the back legs, which has been well repaired/glued in the past.

The chair on the right has the same small split on the back stretcher plus there have been some repairs in the past to where the front legs meet the front/side of the seat, as shown in the photos.

Hence the rather cheap price for the pair!

Both chairs are very useable without wobbles.
