With taut rhythms of 70s punk and the freak-outs of NYC no-wave, Silverbacks craft a signature sound spiked with triple guitar riffs and on-the-pulse lyrics. Silverbacks are a 5-piece band from Dublin, Ireland. Taking their cues from the taut rhythms and urgent drive of late 70s punk and the discordant, unpredictable freak-outs of NYC no wave, they craft a signature sound spiked with triple guitar riffs, a motorik rhythm section and on-the-pulse lyrics. The band have independently released a string of singles produced by Girl Band bassist Daniel Fox, beginning in 2018 with Dunkirk and Just In The Band, each of which drew support on both sides of the Atlantic. 2019 saw the arrival of follow-up tracks Pink Tide, and then Sirens, which was part of a double A side 7-inch released with second single Drool by UK independent label Nice Swan Records in January 2020. These single releases were backed by festival appearances at Simple Things, Swn, Eurosonic and Electric Picnic, headline shows in the UK and Ireland and supporting Girl Band on their sold-out UK tour dates. Debut album Fad represents the sound of a band trying to make sense of a noisy and disjointed world - one that competes for your attention at every turn. For them, it has come to be a symbol of what it feels like to try and absorb the world through both fleeting moments in front of screens, and prolonged obsessive periods filled with focus. They pull apart pop-culture in search of new meaning, whether it's a nod to The Simpsons (Fad 95), imagining a lost John Hughes film (Klub Silberrücken), spiralling downwards into youtube deep-dives (Pink Tide), or making sense of youth culture through The Urban Dictionary (Grinning At The Lid). Much in the same way that modern life can be defined by it's unpredictability, Silverbacks colourful, vivid and exuberant songs dismantle their source material and end up in places that you don't think they will. It can be heard in the spidering guitar lines of opening track Dunkirk, or Pink Tide's Thin Lizzy-aping riffery, Fad 95's overt Pavement influence, Up The Nurses' Blondie injection or Last Orders' The Fall-inspired tale of escapism. Grinning At The Lid's huge gang vocal chorus even recalls New Fellas-era The Cribs. Great Xylitol Chewing Gum!

This review is for PUR Gum | Aspartame Free Chewing Gum | 100% Xylitol | Natural Spearmint Flavored Gum, 55 Pieces (Pack of 3). I got 2 of the 3-pack at the time because it was cheaper to do so than to get a 6-pack. Of course, the next day the 6-pack was cheaper lol. Anyway, this is great xylitol gum and not overly expensive like Zellie’s. I take 2 (which is one serving meaning 2g of xylitol) after “most” meals because it’s supposed to be good for my oral health. I chew one piece at a time for a couple minutes to prolong the sweet flavor instead of popping both into my mouth together. I like chewing these because they don’t harden up like some gums do. They stay soft throughout and I often forget and chew them for 15-20 minutes at a time. Anyway, I did the math and compared the PUR gum to other 100% xylitol gums out there and this one was a clear winner to me for the same benefits. I would totally recommend this gum and I like that it’s aspartame free! I’d give it a 5.0/5.0 - 03/20/2026.

Great taste but cannot use

First time trying for dental care. Really enjoy the taste only drawback taste doesn’t last long. However, it’s better than other sugar substitutes which my stomach does not like.
Glad I signed up for the three pack sub. Great product! Recommend.
May 16, 2026 Update: Unfortunately I cannot use this product after the initial trial every time I chew on these i experience stomach issues so the three pack I purchased will need to find someone that can use them or throw out.

Powerful lasting peppermint flavor & the xylitol fights plaque!

The gum has a powerful peppermint taste – very refreshing. The flavor lasts a long time. The main reason that I bought this gum is because it has 100% xylitol. Xylitol helps fight plaque buildup. I have only had the product one day, so I can't say that it works, but I read many reports before I bought the gum that xylitol is excellent for fighting plaque buildup. It also has no sugar. It's vegan and it has only five calories per two pieces. I have so far only chewed one piece at a time. One piece seems plenty for me. I've read that people need from six to ten grams of xylitol per day to effectively fight plaque. So, this gum needs to be chewed accordingly. Many people chew after every time they eat. I am happy with this purchase.

Only protein shake I've found that doesn't cramp my stomach

I've tried the vanilla, strawberry and chocolate, and chocolate is by far the best. It's not too sweet (where as the vanilla and strawberry were). It doesn't have any extra whey concentrate or caseinate or soy or whatever added to it to boost protein. Brands that do that mess up my stomach, giving me bad stomach cramps. This is just highly filtered milk, and lactase enzyme that tackles the lactose sugar left behind after filtration. Maybe that's the secret. (I can drink normal milk and not get cramps. But, whey protein isolate and other things give me cramps.) This has become a go-to in a protein diet I'm on. I'll have one for breakfast with some coffee. That lasts me until lunch. If not, I'll simply have another 2 hours later. They're each less than 200 calories, so it's not too bad having another if it staves off hunger. I find I eat a smaller lunch. I might have another one for a mid-afternoon snack. Then I'll have a normal dinner. Basically I'm replacing bigger meals and a breakfast with 2-3 smaller calorie protein shakes. And the protein keeps me satisfied. (unlike something like slim fast that's just all sugar and ramps up your insulin). They're a bit pricey (almost $4/bottle). But, I'm cutting back on my grocery bill as well. So, it's balancing out. I figure I could be spending $12/day on fast food or some other garbage that makes me fat. Instead I'm drinking 2-3 of these a day, and am down 10lbs over a month. I'll stick with these.
