AcroPrep 384-well Filter Plates, 100 µL, long tips with 100K Omega membrane are optimized for ultrafiltration applications, offering the rapid and efficient separation of biomolecules.

Ultrafiltration is a membrane separation technique used to separate extremely small particles and dissolved molecules in fluids. The primary basis for separation is molecular size, although other factors such as molecular shape and charge can also play a role. Molecules larger than the membrane pores will be retained at the surface of the membrane and concentrated during the ultrafiltration process. Ultrafiltration can be used in a variety of applications including size exclusion, PCR clean-up, nucleic acid purification and protein separation.

The Pall Omega membrane is a polyethersulfone membrane specifically modified to minimize protein and nucleic acid binding. The low binding nature of the membrane offers numerous benefits, including high recoveries of low concentrations of biomolecules and less surface fouling, which can cause retention performance to decay.

Our Omega ultrafiltration membrane is available in AcroPrep 24, 96 and 384-well filter plates and in a number of MWCOs including 3K, 10K, 30K and 100K.

AcroPrep 384-well Filter Plates enable laboratories to process hundreds of samples simultaneously and have been designed for high volume, high throughput applications. The filter plates feature a maximum well volume of 100 μL and a recommended working volume of 80 μL.

The 384-well filter plates are available with two different types of outlet tips, long or short. Both types of outlet tips can be used for filtrate or retentate based applications, however a longer tip version is recommended for critical filtrate studies. The longer outlet tips extend beyond the skirt of the plate and pilot into the wells of a receiving plate, ensuring maximum sample recovery and minimal cross contamination.

Pall filter plates are constructed of chemically resistant, biologically-inert polypropylene, preventing target molecules from binding to the plate. They feature an automated friendly design that has a single piece construction and are manufactured in accordance with SBS guidelines. A serialized barcode label allows for easy sample tracking and identification.

Don't waste money on this one
Ordered in January 2026. Worked good the first few times. Now it just rotates around and around the can but doesn't cut anything. I'm so disappointed because it failed shortly after my return window closed.

Easy to use! No more hand cranking.
If you like the ease of an electric can opener, but don’t have room to store it or don’t want to drag it out when you need to use it, this is for you. I like a handheld can opener, but would get so frustrated trying to use it and turn the handle. This can opener is amazing and so easy to use. Just attach to can and push a button. It starts turning on its own and when it is done it stops. You lift it up and the lid comes off cleanly. It is rechargeable so need to worry about batteries. It tucks away in a drawer nicely. I bought my mom one too. She has arthritis in her hands so thought this would be perfect for her.

Smooth edges better than twisting
Works a lot better than the crank style and the counter top electric and you can use the lid to reseal the can if you don't use the whole thing.

Worked for only 4 months. Now produces metal shards. Dangerous
Pros: Can be used with one hand. I bought this to have after surgery that left me without use of one arm for a few months. The light blinks when you need to charge it. Only needs a 2-3 min charge for enough juice to open a can. Cons: IT QUIT CUTTING CORRECTLY AFTER 4 MONTHS. I now have to use both hands to hold it in place to get it to latch on to the can. It also requires a few rotations around the top to cut through the seal, resulting in METAL SHARDS! The metal shards are super sharp and almost invisible. I stabbed myself with one enough to draw blood. This is dangerous as the metal could fall into the food when pouring from the can.
