Artist Statement:
A whimsical cross made of words, Sisters in Christ makes a wonderful gift celebrating the unique friendships that arise as Christian women walk through life - from new sisters found during a recent retreat or Bible study, to that lifelong friend you can't imagine life without. Vines and bright pink and purple flowers bring life and vibrancy to the drawing.
Around the edge of the cross is written "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20.
This piece was not generated digitally - all words were written entirely by hand on Bristol paper using India ink pens. Color was added using art markers.
