This little amulet pendant depicts Lord Buddha sitting in deep meditation in the lotus position.
The Buddha in lotus position sitting on a three-level throne representing heaven, people and earth.
This image is called Phra Somdej in Thai and it is known as one of the most noblest statues in Buddhism. It is used to bring luck, peace and prosperity.
On the other side of the amulet there is the Unalome symbol.
The Unalome is a visual representation of the path to enlightenment.
The spirals and twists represent our daily, earthly distractions and struggles.
The spiral gradually becomes a straight line, representing the path of truth to nirvana, to enlightenment.
This amulet is carved out of stone, it is then enclosed is a metal frame to be used as a pendant.
The stone is grainy and rough to the touch and feels very raw and earthy.
It has a nice weight for its size. It is 1.5cm wide X 2.2cm tall and it will come to you on an adjustable, string necklace.
The second amulet also features Buddha sitting in deep meditation in the lotus position (Phra Somdej image).
This amulet is made out of either clay or resin (not sure) and is also encased in a metal frame to use as a pendant.
It is smooth to the touch and very light weight. It is 1.2cm in width and 1.8cm in height and It will also come on an adjustable necklace.
