A highly sought-after early pair of latticed 'candlestick' Windsor chairs by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in High Wycombe, Bucks, model number 376 and dated 1960.

The seat is made from elm and the spindles and legs from beech.

These design classics are in excellent condition structurally - no loose joints, sound and sturdy.

They are in untouched original condition, I haven't sanded and refinished them as I like the patina that's building up, I just used some Danish oil and wax to help preserve them.

The grain on the seats is superb.

There is wear to the original varnish/gloss around the back rail, but I prefer this to being sanded and refinished - see photos.

They both have the original blue Ercol label to the back seat edge, and both are stamped underneath with a kitemark and dated 1960 underneath - see photos.
