Care

General Maintenance: Prune spent blooms to encourage new growth. Prune the plant during the dormant season to keep the gardenia tidy. Remove any crowded or crossed stems at this time to increase air circulation and light to the center of the plant. This will discourage fungal diseases and encourage blooming.

Temperature: 18°C - 21°C during the day, and 15°C - 18°C during the night. 

Light: Partial to full sun. Bonsais need a lot of light to thrive.

Watering: Water weekly, keeping the soil evenly moist (but not soggy). 

Soil: Prefers slightly acidic, rich soil with good drainage. 

Fertilizer: Fertilize once every two weeks from spring to fall with a general houseplant fertilizer.
