The 18” Chocolate Drop Gong is similar to the Chau Gong. In fact, it is basically a Chau Gong with the outer dark ring lathed off. This makes the Chocolate Drop Gong not only look brighter than the Chau Gong, it can make it sound brighter too, bringing some of the brighter qualities of the Wind Gong to the more focused overall character of the Chau Gong. At this smaller size, it will have a more focused, but still complex bell-like tone than at much larger sizes.

The 18" Mother Tesla Gong is a version of the traditional Chau Gong (the classic bullseye design) however we asked our gong makers not to lathe it. By leaving the dark finish unpolished, this creates a gong with less of a crashy finish and more of a deep, organic feel to the overall sound. Splashy brightness is replaced with rich warmth, perfect for a deep, speculative experience. At this smaller size, it will have a more focused bell-like sound than much larger sizes, but still a very rich and complex.

Our 18" Subatomic Gongs are to our Chau Gong as the black keys on a piano are to the white. The Subatomic creates a more mystical tone when struck with a complex mixture of harmonics and overtones. Often, striking it in the different concentric rings will give you a slightly different tone each time, adding to the mystique of these gongs. The added lathed band on the outer ring ads a bright, warm complexity to the overall sound. At this smaller size, it will have a more focused bell-like sound than much larger sizes, but still a very rich and complex.
