The Artisan's Story:
Each applewood mill is lovingly crafted from branches of a venerable apple tree that has graced Richard's garden since the days of an ancient orchard. These trees, standing for over 140 years, continue to bear fruit, and it was one such branch, burdened by its bounty, that was transformed into this unique creation.
The base is fashioned from oak, reclaimed from the remnants of a high-end cabinet maker's workshop, saved from a fate of disposal.
Richard approaches woodturning as a sculptor does stone, allowing the grain to guide the final form. He champions the use of locally recovered timber, lending each piece a rare provenance and a story that is as compelling as its beauty.
Presented in an elegant gift box, this set is the perfect high-end gift, complete with a personalised card and a hand-tied ribbon.
