- Artists have been experimenting with film and pushing the boundaries of the moving image since the earliest years of the medium. Gaining momentum with the emergence of the expanded cinema movement in the 1960s, and further solidifying with video art in the 1970s, by the start of the new millennium, video art, moving image, and broader screen-based practices had become some of art’s most dominant and influential genres. Today, as we navigate the opportunities and implications of networked technologies and social media, the moving image is at the nexus of the cultural milieu – a key signpost through avant-garde practice, democratised video culture and the creative technologies pushing artistic boundaries.
- Among this rich and dynamic cultural space, two Australian institutions have stood out as central pillars of this essential artform. Since 2009, Adelaide’s Samtag Museum of Art – in collaboration with the Adelaide Film Festival – and Melbourne’s ACMI have driven major commissioning programs for new moving image works that have helped both redefine and further locate the medium at the core of Australian and global creative practice. This book, the first of its kind in Australia, not only provides a rich reference and documentation of these crucial moving image commissions, but also provides a series of historical and newly commissioned critical and discursive reflections on both the artistic outputs and the role and history of commissioning practice. Outside the Frame: Art and the Moving Image is a guide to creativity, the artworks, and the institutional armature that underpins the moving image.

Built to Chew, Designed to Last – A Teething Pup’s Best Friend!
Size: Small, Color: Pink
These puppy chew toys are adorable and well made! I picked the pink set for my girl, but they come in several color options to suit any pup’s personality. So far, she hasn’t destroyed a single one — which says a lot, because she’s definitely in her teething phase.
That said, I do wish she’d chew on the toys more than she chews on me — ha! She seems to enjoy them most when I’m playing with her, so they’ve become a fun bonding tool. I also really appreciate that a couple of the toys can hold small treats. That keeps her entertained a bit longer and gives my hands a much-needed break.
Overall, this is a great little starter kit for teething puppies. Durable, cute, and interactive — we’re both happy with it!

Bad Qualify - Toxic Plastic, Not Good or Safe
Size: Small, Color: Purple
These are toxic micro-plastic toys. They are especially bad for teething puppies sharp teeth. Within an hour of playing, pieces began to chip off and easily falling apart.
If you don’t heed this warning to buy something else, at least monitor your dog when in use, never leave unattended and plan to throw them away when they start to break down.
It’s a shame because the set is really cute and has ideal texture my dog loved with a nice variety of shapes. Not worth the risk though for a member of the family.

its okay
Size: Small, Color: Green
This set of 4 puppy toys is overall decent and a good option for light play. The toys are cute, soft, and my puppy enjoyed playing with them right away. They are great for gentle chewing, carrying around, and interactive play, especially for younger or less aggressive puppies.
However, if your dog is very active or a strong chewer, these toys don’t last very long. In our case, they started to tear fairly quickly with regular play. They’re definitely not indestructible and won’t hold up well for high-energy dogs who like to chew hard.
Overall, I’d say these toys are fine for the price and okay for casual use, but they’re better suited for calmer puppies rather than very active ones. If your puppy loves intense chewing, you may need something more durable.
