An opulent pair of 18k gold and silver earrings, with a look and feel inspired by Karl Fabergé and the jewelers of Pre-Revolutionary Russia. Each earring consists of a micro pave diamond egg drop that dangles from a hinged chain section, allowing for beautiful movement in the earrings that sparkles in the light. Each earring contains 167 small diamonds covering the surface of the silver, and three slightly larger diamonds bezel set into a section of connecting links. There is a pattern delineated by interlocking figure eight forms and triangles that map across the three dimensional egg with a beautiful outline of black enamel and milgrain work. The egg is topped with a symmetrical link and connected again to a circular form that houses a cluster of bead set diamonds, the black enamel outline threaded continuously throughout each component of the earring. 

The earrings are hallmarked with a hammer and sickle for the Soviet Union, alongside marks for 750 and 925 (18k gold and sterling silver). There is also a Cyrillic letter indicating the city of origin. Jewelry commissioned by Russian Czars, such as the renowned Farbergé eggs, set a high standard for Russian jewelry. The style and impeccable craftsmanship has been emulated by subsequent generations of Russian turned Soviet jewelers, as seen in these stunning vintage earrings. 

The earrings measure 2 1/4” in length. The egg drops are approximately 7/8” x 1/2”, and the circular tops are 1/4” across. Combined, the earrings weigh 23.6 grams. The earrings snap shut with a very secure European mount that clicks safely into place. The backs of the earrings are set in 18k gold, while the earring fronts and the eggs are sterling silver. 

Each earring contains 167 1.5 mm diamonds and three 2.25 mm diamonds. They are J-K in color, VS2-SL1 in clarity. The total carat weight of both earrings combined is 3.4 carats.
