Der Duft
In Passage d‘Enfer Extrême steht eine bemerkenswerte Blume im Mittelpunkt: die „Red Spider Lily“, eine aus Asien stammende Lilienart. In manchen Traditionen feiert sie den Wandel, in anderen die Reise in eine unbekannte Welt und führt uns mit ihrem berauschenden Duft in ein vergessenes Paradies. Dem Schicksal und den Grenzen der Zeit trotzend, wird die trockene Frische des Weihrauchs durch florale Noten der Lilie und mit cremigem Sandelholz abgerundet.

Eine „Auferstehungslilie“
Parfümeurin Olivia Giacobetti hat einen neuen Blick auf ihre Kreation Passage d‘Enfer von 1999 geworfen und ihrer Handschrift neue Kraft und ein olfaktorisches Augenzwinkern verliehen.

Eine bemerkenswerte Blume wurde zum Symbol dieser neuen Kreation: eine in Asien beheimatete Liliensorte, die aufgrund ihrer Blütenblätter, die wie ein Heiligenschein aus glühenden Flammen schimmern, Red Spider Lily genannt wird.

Diese „Auferstehungslilie“, die an der Tagundnachtgleiche im Herbst blüht, ist ein Synonym für die Metamorphose. In einigen Traditionen feiert sie den Wandel, in anderen die Reise in eine andere Welt – eine Art vergessenes Paradies, in welches sie uns mit ihrem berauschenden Duft entführt.

Die trockene Frische des Weihrauchs trotzt dem Schicksal und den Grenzen der Zeit und wird durch die Düfte von Lilie, cremigem Sandelholz, Benzoe und Vanille abgerundet. Eine mysteriöse und tiefe Note von Weihrauch wird von Sandelholz und Vanilleabsolue umhüllt. Ein blumiges Herz aus weißem Jasmin bringt die Lilien und den Weihrauch sanft hervor.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
