Danach musste der Berner aber auch die Schattenseiten eines erfolgreichen Sportlerlebens kennenlernen. Vom einen auf den anderen Moment hatte er in der Öffentlichkeit sehr erwachsen aufzutreten. Das überforderte ihn ebenso wie seine Familie, die abgeschieden im Diemtigtal ein bescheidenes Leben geführt hatte. Wenger wurde zu einem Star zum Anfassen – und einem Liebling der Schwiegermütter. Plötzlich konnte der im Stundenlohn angestellte Zimmermann-Lehrling mehrere hunderttausend Franken im Jahr verdienen. Zum Teil wusste er nicht, wie ihm geschah. Aber Wenger hat einen Reifeprozess durchgemacht, der ihn zu einem der populärsten Schwinger seiner Generation werden liess. Im August 2024 trat er zurück.

Arrived on time, in its original box, include a 2 year international warranty, into the box include a book with the Tissot brand history in Switzerland. Algo a second book with a whole catalog of Tissot watches men and women. The watch looks better when you put in on your wrist. The “naval” blue really gives the clock a classy look.
