Descent: Journeys in the Dark (1st Edition) ist ein taktisches Dungeon-Crawler-Brettspiel, das 2005 veröffentlicht wurde. Dieses Gesellschaftsspiel versetzt 2 bis 5 Spieler in eine düstere Fantasy-Welt, in der ein Teilnehmer die Rolle des Overlords übernimmt und Monster sowie Fallen kontrolliert, während die anderen Spieler Helden steuern.

Das Spiel bietet komplexe Mechaniken mit einem rundenbasierten System, in dem Helden Bewegungen und Angriffe planen, Ausrüstung nutzen und Quests auf modularen Spielplänen erfüllen. Der Overlord steuert das Geschehen durch den gezielten Einsatz von Ereignis- und Spukfallen-Karten sowie das Platzieren von Monstern und Bedrohungen.

Während der Spielrunden erkunden die Helden Räume, aktivieren Glyphen und kämpfen gegen vom Overlord kontrollierte Gegner, um die jeweiligen Abenteuerziele zu erreichen. Das Zusammenspiel aus taktischer Planung, der Interaktion zwischen Overlord und Helden sowie die modularen Maps sorgen für abwechslungsreiche und spannende Spielabende.

It's a very good product. I would recommend this toy for a heavy chewing dog. My main reasons it's not 5 stars, it's HEAVY and the eyes peeled right off. My pup really likes to throw his toys around, this thing sounds like a cannon ball that's going to go through our floor! He also tries to destroy everything so he was chewing on the eyes and he would have definitely eaten them if I wasn't paying attention. It's not a horrible thing but I obviously don't want him to eat non food things. My dog also likes the squeaker in it, but it's difficult for me to get it to squeak. That's not a big deal though just thought I should mention it. Overall especially for the price, it's a good sturdy product that's cute and it's still holding up. He's chewed parts of the softer areas off a bit, but the rest is very hard so he hasn't made much of a dent. It's also about as big as his head, so he's pretty happy with it!
