Dieser ca. 7x14cm große Unterschlupf wird handgefertigt und ist aus Ton. Die Öffnung von dem Unterschlupf hat eine Höhe von etwa 3cm so das dort Zwergflusskrebse und Welse wie der L-134, L-66, etc. eine Rückzugsmöglichkeit finden.
Welse benutzen solche Tonhöhlen sehr gerne zum ablaichen. Durch die Poröse Struktur wachsen Moose auf der Höhle recht schnell fest und sorgt für zusätzlich Schutz und Deckung.
