Der 6,0 Ah Akku mit 18 Volt besitzt eine nochmal um 20% längere Laufleistung im Vergleich zum 5 Ah Akku. Das Bosch Ladegerät GAL 18V-40 ist Dank modernem Design sehr kompakt und kompatibel mit allen Bosch Professional 18V-Akkus. Die Ladegeschwindigkeit wurde für die kompakten 18V Akkus optimiert. Durch das intelligente Ladeverfahren wird der Ladezustand des Akkus automatisch erkannt  und abhängig von Akkutemperatur und -spannung mit dem jeweils optimalen Ladestrom geladen. Dadurch wird der Akku geschont und bleibt bei Aufbewahrung im Ladegerät immer vollständig aufgeladen. Das Ladegerät kann entweder stehend oder hängend an der Wand betrieben werden.
