Luisa Amann, Maria Auböck, bauchplan ).(, Silvia C. Benedito, Carsten Dierkes, Almut Grüntuch-Ernst, Andreas Kipar, Klaus K. Loenhart, Bernhard Maaz, Andreas Matzarakis, Burkert Pieske und Boris Schröder-Esselbach.                                                                                                   Keeping a Cool Head Climate change is an unstoppable reality and the measures that have been taken so far are clearly inadequate: that much is now brought home to us on a daily basis. The overheating of urban areas already has life-threatening consequences today and is set to reach temperatures far in excess of the climate goals defined by political decisionmakers. How will humans and animals, plants and infrastructures stand up to these rapidly progressing developments? Absent more effective countermeasures, some cities in Europe will be uninhabitable within a few decades. Despite this obvious threat, climate-adapted urban planning is still not being given the priority it deserves.                                              The German contribution for the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale 2025 exposes visitors physically and psychologically to the reality of the future urban climate: a STRESSTEST that makes the need to act directly tangible. At the same time, the exhibition and catalogue offer impulses and solutions for resilient planning that make our cities fit for the future to create a healthy living space for all living organisms. The German contribution is therefore an urgent appeal to act in order to overcome this STRESSTEST together.               The catalogue for the German Pavilion expands the exhibition with essays by Luisa Amann, Maria Auböck, bauchplan ).(, Silvia C. Benedito, Carsten Dierkes, Almut Grüntuch-Ernst, Andreas Kipar, Klaus K. Loenhart, Bernhard Maaz, Andreas Matzarakis, Burkert Pieske, and Boris Schröder-Esselbach.

Nice
Color: Warm Gold
Very well built, heavy base, I took a star off because it’s a little darker champagne gold than I wanted, but I like enough to keep it.

Paper towel continues to spin!
Color: Warm Gold
The paper towel continues to spin because it does not have a buffer inside. So select a size paper towel does not work with this particular paper towel holder.

Simple, Solid, and Looks Great
Color: Antique Bronze
This is one of those simple things that just works exactly how you want it to. First off, it looks really nice on the counter. The antique bronze finish has a slightly warm tone that doesn’t look cheap or overly shiny, and the design is clean enough to fit in with pretty much any kitchen style. Assembly took maybe 30 seconds. You just screw the pieces together and it’s ready to go, no tools or fuss. Swapping out rolls is just as easy, and the top cap keeps everything in place without being annoying to deal with. The weight is really what makes this stand out. The base is heavy enough that it stays put when you tear off a sheet, so you can actually use it one-handed without it tipping or sliding around. It feels solid and well made, not flimsy at all. Size-wise, it fits a standard roll easily and still has room for larger rolls, so you’re not fighting to get a new one on. Overall, it’s sturdy, looks good, and is genuinely easy to use day to day. It’s one of those upgrades that seems small but makes your kitchen feel a little more put together.
